Friendship- Bonds Beyond Time - review | flipkart | amazon

BLW: Let’s welcome the successful Indian author Prachi Agasti to Book Lovers World.

Prachi Agasti: Thank you so much.

BLW: Firstly, congratulations on the launch of your book "Friendship- Bonds Beyond Time". Tell us a little about yourself.

a father’s cherished daughter, a mother’s nagging yet lovable doll
Prachi Agasti: I am an undergraduate studying in College of Engineering and Technology, Odisha, a father’s cherished daughter, a mother’s nagging yet lovable doll and a friend’s adored better half. I have recently published my debut novel, Just Once by Authorspress, India and now a part of an anthology on friendship.

BLW: Tell us about your short story THE SCARLET TINT OF YELLOW ROSE, what it means to you, and how did you feel when you saw your name in the winners list?

Prachi Agasti: Somewhere between your laughs, stupid arguments and making fun of each other, you fall in love with your best friend. The scarlet tint of yellow rose is a story portraying a love between two best friends which had been buried for many years waiting to be evoked. And friendship has always been an important emotion in my life. When I saw my name in the winner’s list I was elated to be a part of this awesome collection of stories that would touch people’s hearts and that’s what matters isn’t it?

BLW: Tell us about the characters of your story. Is it a character from your real life or just a piece of imagination?

Prachi Agasti: Panchi had realized she was in love ever since she had the warmth of his friendship, her best friend Ishaan. Ishaan and Panchi are the fictional portrayals of timeless friendship and undying love enclosed in their hearts and the moments.

BLW: What inspired you to write this short story?

Prachi Agasti: I always believed that best friends fall in love, they do but it happens to some lucky persons who actually convey their hidden heart and seize the chance to be with them. And that inspired me.

BLW: Do you like to dedicate your work? To whom will you dedicate and why?

Prachi Agasti: I would like to dedicate my work to my best friends, my gang ‘Fireflies’. They are the ones who inspire me to come up with plots and give a meaning, life to the fictional characters.

BLW: What were your biggest learning experience(s) or surprise(s) when participating in online contests?

Prachi Agasti: Well participating in online contests boosted my spirit to enhance my ideas, the way I present it, and how could I make my words more effective with the people.

BLW: Do you blog? Do you think blogging helps you in learning the art of short story writing?

Prachi Agasti: After my high-school days, I found my way to get my priced possessions blogged to touch people’s thoughts. And I could establish a name through some heartening reviews. So I think Blogging helps, because first it gives a firm stance for your creativity, second it helps you discover some amazing writings and from which you could definitely learn, because the best part about creativity is learning and foraging through creative minds.

BLW: When do you write the most? Is there a favorite place at your home or office where you write the most? Any props that you feel lucky to keep with you when writing?

Prachi Agasti: For me writing deserves a moment, a moment where you began scribbling, the movement around you stops and it feels like you are inside your own built world of imaginations. And these moments subsides from time to time. I maintain a dairy inscribed with all my words and thoughts and that you could say a prop at my side.

BLW: As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?

Prachi Agasti: As a child I was fancied by poems, stories and I liked them, like the difference in portrayals, liked the varied descriptions. They fascinated me and I had wanted to be a writer.

BLW: What are your inspirations in life?

Prachi Agasti: My inspirations are my elders in the family, my parents who stood beside me in every step of my downfall and my best friends, who have always supported me, pushed me to my limits and believed in me.

BLW: What books have inspired or influenced you as a writer?

Prachi Agasti: I have always been captivated by those plots immersed with emotions, the way humans feel, because sometimes the way words are described just touch your hearts, they take you to places of your imagination. And I wanted to do that, to inspire people so that they would carry my words and travel the places of their hearts they hadn’t been imagined.

BLW: What other secret skills do you have?

Prachi Agasti: If those skills were meant to be secret then let them be, maybe eventually in some moments they would surface.

BLW: To be a good writer, one should be a good reader. We know you enjoy reading books. What are the best books you have ever read? Name any five.

Prachi Agasti: Bests books, well that would be a little difficult because each kind compels my senses. To mention some, Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, The Prisoner of Birth by Jeffery Archer, The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, Once and Always by Judith Mcnaught and Godfather by Mario Puzo. Always been my favourite.

BLW: Message for the book lovers in this world!

Prachi Agasti: Don’t just pick a one and read the words in those pages, let your heart compel your senses to flow with those words so that the desired anticipations in the author’s mind would be satisfied. And then my friends you would know worth of one, because they are not just books but an essential part of your life’s moments knowingly and unknowingly, but they are.

Thank you so much for your time. It's our pleasure to chat with you... And to the readers stay back for more. For the first time in BLW, we're interviewing all the contributing authors of the book. We hope you will like reading the response. Stay Tuned!
